I agree. The multitasking made the game harder: why sims can't keep themselves properly sat down at a chair and why they can't eat continuously without glancing at everything around them even if they're living alone are just a few noteworthy examples. Maybe because there isn't enough codes as basically the whole game is.
err my sims don't do that.
They can eat drink and talk at the same time, but if you cancel the talking or if they're alone they just eat.
If they move chairs it's because they want to move next to someone else to talk to them, and while it can get annoying it does actually make sense.
The issue here is it seems to have ramped up the animations required when adding stuff because they've now got to account for drink, drink + food, food, talking + food, etc etc etc But I don't buy that as an excuse - to make this feature happen, they knew that was going to be the case, and should've had the expectation to put more development in as required.
