What I mean is...the idea of an open world was amazing, but coded poorly. Same goes for multitasking in this iteration. It seems to me that there's always these fabulous ideas, but in actuality, it's all proves a bit too much for the team to handle in terms of stable & immersive gameplay.
I guess I'd just prefer simplicity-done-well over complexity-that-causes-unnecessary-issues. Solely IMO, of course ;)
Good ideas yeah, I like how you phrased that. I enjoy the multitasking and whatnot, but the cost of having it is starting to reveal itself. Makes me wonder if we'll have to give up things because of it or will they just be delayed. Lounge chairs are probably trickier than hot tubs if you think of the animations. I should probably give sims 2 a go to see how the game is without multitasking so I could better place value on it (I played sims 2 in January, so I've probably forgotten).
