People invested years, money, time, effort in a franchise they loved. They can't simply ''let it go'' or ''let it fall apart''.
It's pure passion. Nothing to do with hate speech, hating people, or hating the game. In fact: people want to love the game, that's why they give EA FEEDBACK (tons of feedback) critisism etc.
But the problem is: We don't see anything changing. It's still the same old story. Silence, ''too expensive, too difficult, too time consuming, things change'' and the list goes on.
This makes people frustrated and the only option they have is to show their opinions here on the forums. But guess what: EA is not responding to ANY of the opinions, any of the feedback. That's what's heating up the fire. The totally ignorance.
Instead we see another content SPA GP come out that is totally unlogical (according to the feedback) and that makes people mad. What are we giving feedback for?
Recently I have been reading some old threads from TS3, and have been sometimes amused how history is repeating itself. I have seen posts from some of the biggest critics of TS4 reacting to the same way to people who weren't happy with TS3.
The same comments were used back then, such as "if you don't like TS3 why are you still posting on the the forums", "constantly complaining about what is missing in TS3 is not going to get you anywhere, it's a new game, get over it", "go back and play the Sims 2 if it's so great!" So it is weird to see those same people who told others who did not like TS3 to go away, are now here letting everyone know it's their right to voice their opinions of how fail TS4 is :D . It is their right of course, it's just an observation I have made. :)
And if history is any indication, the same thing will probably happen if there is a Sims 5. I am reserving a front row seat for that one.
