I am excited for both themes. We know what the winter theme will bring. I am curious about the Japanese theme what it will bring besides the build items. I hope we get tea.

Lol, not that kind of tea. I want expensive Japanese tea in pretty tea cups drank while sitting down on the tatami not while standing by the fridge.
thats true my friend but its not available yet so i had to use the awful tea machine :disappointed:- Willowana5 years agoSeasoned AceI'm not interested in a winter vacation theme at all. It sounds boring and another "one and done" theme to me.
...but if they actually include Japanese culture, I would be sold. New cooking recipes, clothes, a J-Rock or J-Pop radio station, onsens, or even the simple ability to remove your shoes when entering a home, I would be totally on board with that. - simsimsere5 years agoSeasoned AceI'm pretty excited about both winter and Japanese theme! If compared to Sulani, this is much more my cup of tea.
- logionX5 years agoLegendBecause that sounds like a theme that could actually work well in the sims4. And also work on lower-end machines.
- Peapod795 years agoSeasoned AceWe already have some wintery stuff and this hopefully expands on that, but I'm more excited for the Japanese aspect of it because that's totally new!
- dianed4855 years agoSeasoned AceI’m excited for both actually! (It’s always weird for me to say “excited” because now here (France), it means something else..:..)

To be honest what's making this pack so exciting for me is the combination of BOTH!?? I just can't believe it. Two great themes in one. Whoever thought if this, great idea!!
But I agree I definitely always wanted an east Asian world and I love japan. I also have many asian sims that I don't define as a particular race but they would go perfectly there.
Though I do wonder why south asia (my home) seems to be so unpopular in comparison ??? we have so many beautiful things lol.
Definitely not a big deal for me I'm just curious.
Completely agree about what an awesome combination that is! I voted Winter because that's the one I've been whining about a little longer, but I'm also very excited for the Asian aspect of the world.
May I ask what exactly you mean by South Asia? Like in the direction of Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia? I have to admit I don't know much about that part of the world (never left Europe), except for pictures of the cities and landscapes that I've seen, but I would definitely be open for a world like that as well!
South Asia like india, Pakistan, Bangladesh etc I am from Sri Lanka which is a little island near india. But the culture is extremely rich and full of beautiful handmade clothing, beautiful architecture and traditions and colors and many beautiful locations.
But it seems so under the radar lol ? - DaWaterRat5 years agoSeasoned AceAs I've never been overly enamored of Winter, I guess that means I'm more excited about the Japanese theme by default.
It's a bit strange, I'm excited about the pack, even though it's not something I've been hoping for (except in the abstract because I want more non-US based worlds) And so I really can't pinpoint any particular aspect that I'm particularly looking forward to. - GrumpyGlowfish5 years agoSeasoned Ace

Sri Lanka, really? That's cool, I have a friend from there whose wedding I attended, and I found the ceremony, the various dresses she wore, and the food very interesting. But didn't City Living at least attempt to capture the atmosphere of that part of Asia, with the clothes and colours in general? (I do remember there being an Indian family at least, although I don't play with premades a lot.) Do you find yourself represented at all by that pack?
(Sorry if I'm asking too many silly questions and derailing the thread, I'll shut up now... or soonish.)"DaWaterRat;c-17694466" wrote:

Honestly, I don't think that's strange at all, mainly because I've experienced it myself so many times. Eco Lifestyle, Discover University and several other packs came with things I never knew I wanted before I got them, so... Maybe it's the same for you this time! - texxx785 years agoSeasoned AceAny new mechanic that can be applied to all worlds.
