Seasons and temperature complaint

I have decided to disable temperature effects for now, as I feel they are out of control.

In my game, sims overheat despite wearing hot weather attire, but also get moodlets that they are freezing to death during heatwave in the summer. What gives? :/

Morgyn Ember died for the second time yesterday due to hot temperature. I've managed to bring her (female in my game) back as a ghost, but her husband's Dedeathify spell doesn't appear to work this time around. Another what gives?

How is it going in your game temperature wise?

Also, I find it frustrating that I have to put thermostats in every single venue and NPC home and adjust them all according to the season. Does your Planet Honey Pop! karaoke bar also get snow indoor during winter? Mine does, so I have resorted to re-building it, because its very design was messed up. A third what gives?

Sigh, sigh, sigh...

  • The seasons have been acting strange. I thought it was just fluke and not a real problem since I only lost sims that didn't make any real significance in the game I'm playing now (like Geeta Rasoya and her son both I'm not too fond of. It's not like I lost one of the 3 Sages - Morgyn Ember, Simeon and L. I actually like them and stock up on death flowers in case they die. They matter and so do the vampires in my game.)

I still get snow in my planet honey pop. I don't know how to fix it since I'm not much of a builder. As for temperature issue it all seems fine in my game. Maybe a mod problem?

Quickest way would be to delete the roof and place another one. But Planet Honey Pop's floor is sunken, which is probably how it ended up with a hole in the roof in the first place, so keep an eye on what you are doing. Best save it to Library after you check that worked, to save you doing it seperately in all your saves.
  • The extreme temps can get a bit annoying. I play with the longest season settings, so depending on where my household lives, it isn't uncommon for them to experience prolonged heat waves or bouts of freezing weather.
What irritates me though is the inability for my Sims to be able to do anything. Current household I'm playing, I have a politician. She needs to get out in the world for votes, right? Well, when she recently tried to in the middle of summer at the park, nearly three Sims died from overheating. Even she herself was almost dying, regardless of wearing her hot outfit.

Aside that, the extreme temps shouldn't be reaching my Sims when they're inside and the thermostat is set appropriately. But that also happens and I have to worry about them almost dying then too.

I will also point out that as of recently, I've been having an issue with Sims attempting to run away from lightning while indoors. It's super annoying, because they cancel all of their interactions to run away and then end up with a tense buff about how "that was a close one".
  • I disabled extreme heat and cold effects on Sims, but they still get moodlets and I need to adjust the heat in the house occasionally. They still automatically wear hot or cold weather clothing when going outside when it's hot or cold.

After getting "Seasons" I've actually had to rebuild some houses since because of the weather. Which is more realistic.
