Seasons changed ages/birthdays?

Installed seasons into my existing game. Family I've been playing for year+ has twins who are toddlers. They were previously both the same age. After installing seasons and viewing the calendar I see the birthdays have been added to calendar with the twins on separate weeks entirely. I'm upset they are no longer seen as 'twins', even though I can just manually age up the other twin at same time I'm not sure why the age would randomly change upon install. Is this a bug or just a result of randomly inserting birthdays changing the ages?

I don't have Seasons installed, but I can confirm that the ages are now randomized since the last patch. I was following this tutorial on modding XML files where you change the duration of a life stage, and when I looked at the life stage data, it was slightly different from what the tutorial showed. All life stages except baby are now randomized within specified ranges.

Indeed, that's curious. I tend to age my Sims up when I want to. I also play on Long.
  • My twins and one set of triplets are no longer sharing birthdays either.
  • I wonder if you go ahead and age up the Sims on the same day if that’ll reset the birthdays to be on the same date the following year?

Just normal. I'm assuming the age ranges shown in the game files are for the normal lifespan.

Nope. When the first twin auto aged, I aged the second one in hopes it would reset and put on same day - yet they're still now a day apart. I can't get them back on the same day as it was prior to this update. Hopefully in future they can address this as it's disappointing, I really loved that I had twins at random and liked them aging up together automatically.

I also did the manual age up and it just made the birthdays further apart.
  • I have a set of triplets in San Myshuno, who I was playing with before I installed Seasons. Normal lifespan. The boy was scheduled to age to Teen the day before his sisters. I aged them all up on the same day. I have a few other sets of twins in different save games, I haven't played with those save games since downloading Seasons so I'll have to see how their ages are affected.
