I put the hive in the middle of the greenhouse with a crocus flower next to it and have had calm bees ever since. Hopefully my plants evolve faster with the bees nearby.
Thanks - it doesn't sound like I have to have bees. My pomegranate finally grew up, started to produce fruit and even evolved, and my strawberries are doing better. I've given up on the freelance botanist aspiration, however. I'm now playing my second summer, and finally got one plant to the 'excellent' stage. I need ten, and I only have six plants. It's just not going to happen in my Sim's lifetime.
