I can't wait until there is a mod that expands the "in season" stuff because the way they have it now is weird. Strawberries irl grow from spring to fall. It depends on if you have first year or second+ year plants. First year you probably won't get first harvest until June/July. Second year+ plants though usually start harvesting in May. They keep going until October/November. Depends on when your first frost is so having them be only spring makes no sense. Summer would have made more sense. I can only think they got confused by June bearing strawberries as they are "suppose" to only harvest once per season in June, but they are ever bearing strawberries and these are the most popular for growing they will continue to bear until it's too cold to do so when they go dormant. The thing is though June bearing strawberries can and often do bear more than once per seasons usually 2-3 times especially if they aren't a first year plant. I have a few June bearers in my garden with my ever bearing ones, I harvest them in May, June, and July. Then I can sometimes get a last September harvest when it's not too hot, but yet not too cold.
Most plants even if you can plant them in the winter aren't harvested in the winter, but spring. Onions for instance that are planted in fall or winter aren't harvested until Spring. That's why they are called "spring" onions instead of onions. Onions planted in the early spring are harvested in the early summer usually before mid July or before August. I get that it's a game and they can't be fully realistic, but it makes no sense the way they have this setup at all. A lot of flowers, veggies, and fruits should have harvests from spring until fall. Others should be harvested from Spring to Summer. Very few should be harvested in the winter.
