Seasons: Rebate Day

I had it once or twice, didn't celebrate it though, and the house I was playing had lots of money. I think the rebate was only for a couple sections of the catalog, but I might be wrong.

My sims had rebate day when I played yesterday. But they couldn't afford to take part as you have to spend $500 to qualify.

The annoying thing was, I forgot it was coming up and had spent all their money on refurbishing their house 2 sim days before :D

I've had Rebate day pop up quite a few times, there's always something to buy that my sims don't have yet. Or an upgrade to something they already have.

I wish they would react to or notice new stuff like before. It was a nice touch.

To my knowledge, it is for the whole catalogue.

Yes, I did that surprise event more than once. As I play many households, I picked household who might need new furnitures or other changes to their homes for the event.

The rabate was not found in the build- and buy catalogue, but was added to the household fund later.

Ah yes. It might have been the full catalogue. I don't recall why it was not possible to my sims to join in. Maybe they were saving up for something expensive that they could not afford yet anyway.

It's a good event to poor sims, and I'll surely find someone to benefit from it :smile:

Yes! It's actually one of my favorite surprise holidays as it's an opportunity for my Sims to buy a new object for their houses. Renovation time!

I wish we could select when these special holidays come up. Rebate Day sounds like a great holiday for after Winterfest. January sales!

Does anyone here know what exactly is the purpose of Rebate Day? I got this today and I am not sure what to do. It says I'll get 10 percent off but I haven't seen it yet?
I bought something 500 dollars or more and it completed the tradition, and I've got some money back for it in the notifications.. but I still don't get how I am supposed to get 10% off..?

I feel I have had my very own rebate day.

It isn’t 10% off. A rebate means you will get money back, so the money you got back in the notifications was the rebate. I bought a $900S bed, so I’ll be getting $90S back.

My question is, how many days later does it come in? The day after, I heard the money deposit sound happen and quickly saw a green money symbol but was too slow to see how much it was. I’m not sure where the money came from as my sim was just watching tv, so does it come in the next day?
