Seasons: Rebate Day

My sims had rebate day when I played yesterday. But they couldn't afford to take part as you have to spend $500 to qualify.

The annoying thing was, I forgot it was coming up and had spent all their money on refurbishing their house 2 sim days before :D

I've had Rebate day pop up quite a few times, there's always something to buy that my sims don't have yet. Or an upgrade to something they already have.

I wish they would react to or notice new stuff like before. It was a nice touch.

Yes! It's actually one of my favorite surprise holidays as it's an opportunity for my Sims to buy a new object for their houses. Renovation time!

I wish we could select when these special holidays come up. Rebate Day sounds like a great holiday for after Winterfest. January sales!

I just go thru the house and sell what I don't really need, never use, or could do without atm (trying to sell enough to buy $500 worth). If a kids room has two beds, and I have one kid....I sell the bed. Same with microwave or coffee pot....sell it. Usually I try to get a new full bed and get rid of the uncomfortable one first.

I always check the calendar before buying or replacing anything.....I love Rebate Day :D

That’s a fantastic way to use it! I will need to remember that for my current household.

I just used it. My Rock Star wanted to give his little nieces and nephews that really cool, loud, obnoxious gaming console for four. ;) Since he lives in the same household, all the adults got credit for the purchase, too. Turned out to be a good 'holiday' (wish they'd figure out another word for this, since there isn't much holy about it LOL).

I had it once or twice, didn't celebrate it though, and the house I was playing had lots of money. I think the rebate was only for a couple sections of the catalog, but I might be wrong.
