Except that's not real life state, not at all. First, it was/is only temporary, second - it's only VISUAL. Your sim can eat certain ice-cream and the effect would be the same (the only difference is that it lasts even less). So for now - not a real life state, no additional functions, abilities or even dialogue options. Your sim only have some motives change, temporarily, of course.
We need REAL plantsims, like in TS2 or TS3.
Not quite - they have completely different needs (sunshine and water rather than food and bladder (? I think that's what was replaced with water). I only played my PlantSim for a few days (he was an experiment), but it seemed to be permanent. IIRC, he had a few different dialogue options. And I know he could chat with the plants even though he had no gardening skill (normally, you need level 4). So, not as fleshed-out as say, vampires in S4, but it's not just a Sim with green skin, either.
