Seasons| Skating?

Im thinking its a build buy object, from the looks of it in the trailers

Ya I’m sure it’s an object that you’ll have to place on a park lot or something. Shouldn’t be too big of a problem though, I’m sure the developers will throw in some premade lots in your gallery that already include the rinks, and if you don’t like those then I’m sure the gallery will be filled with skating rinks, or you could just modify one of the existing parks yourself, or build an entirely new lot.

It's confirmed it's placeable. One of the gurus mentioned it on twitter but I can't remember who.

So my question is, will ice skating only be a winter thing? I like the idea of building an indoor ice skating rink that can be used in all seasons and having like a leisure centre or something.

I would think that it is just a placeable item, so you can build your own indoor ice rink if you wanted to. At least, that is what I am hoping - same as Sims 3.

Hmmm I agree. Will the skating chance to Roller skating in other seasons?

I hope the weather affects the ice skating and if there is no more ice then people get a buff that makes them disappointed and I hope the kids can beg their parents to go to ice skating and add it to the callender

Those mini-parks that you can't edit in some of the worlds are where ice/roller skating rinks will be as well, depending on the season

Know they were going to be editing the worlds a bit due to seasons with the areas outside residential lots. Maybe parks too?

Was wondering if the skating rink may spawn in a park or something for holidays like love fest and such. That'd be pretty neat.
