The lack of Snow Accumulation doesn't phase me at all, because the game still looks stunning!
I agree we should wait for confirmation before pointing fingers, and I would love to be wrong! but honestly, everytime simmers have started to doubt the quality of some content in TS4, it has always turned out to be true until now. When the trailer for city living came out, a lot of people were worried that elevators were not usable, that we would not be able to build apartments, etc. and it all turned out to be true.
I think similarly in this case we can be pretty sure snow in the game will only be a layer of white paint on the floor and on the roofs.
Of course this is only speculation based on the pictures and video we have, but it seems pretty obvious. It is not like it is a minor detail of the pack shoved in a corner of the screen. Snow is basically one of the two most important new features of weather and seasons, with rain. Just like apartments seemed to be for City Living. So, yeah.
You may not be aware of this but one of the reasons why a lot of people "begged for seasons" was to have actual immersive weather, snow and rain in the game. So claiming that we got what we wanted might not be as true as you seem to think.
You seem surprised even "seasons can't make us happy". But tbh, real beautiful seasons would totally have made me happy. I just don't feel this is what I am going to get.
I am very sorry for all of those who are disappointed by this kind of negative comment. But really, don't you think we would prefer to praise the game? I don't understand why you consider the simmers pointing out the lack of quality are the ones responsible for the disappointment. If snow was amazing in the game, no one would have complained.
edit: Also as AlbaWaterhouse said, this is just an aspect of the pack. The fact that we criticize one aspect doesn't mean we don't like any of it. I don't see why we should not be allowed to voice our opinion just because it is just on a specific feature. No one here said the whole Seasons EP seemed bad. They only talked about snow.
