Sept 18 Patch and Exciting Base Game Update

I'm always happy to see performance updates. The Sims 4 has needed an update like this for the longest time. It has been incredibly frustrating watching the Sims team churn out DLC like it's nothing, whilst taking forever to address game breaking issues and other bugs. If they keep this up, who knows, the Sims 4 might just be on the path to redemption.

I'm also enjoying the new swatches too, those are always a welcome thing. That being said, with all the latest information about the future of the franchise and specifically, "enhancing" the Sims 4, then I think it's time for them to bite the bullet and figure out a way to give us a colour wheel. I can live without patterns and textures, but it's somewhat ridiculous that we're in 2024, and they're still not entertaining such a highly requested feature. The swatches don't have to go anywhere, but being able to toggle between them and a colour wheel would be nice.

And, yes! I'm so glad that event rewards are now going to be tied to our accounts! This should have been a thing from the start, because I don't want to lose the rewards from the previous event. It's possible to still obtain them, but they won't appear in the catalogue or CAS as far as I can tell. I hope that they'll be able to do a similar update for the Happy at Home Login Event.
