Yeahh so out of 100+ skintones I still couldn't make the skintone I wanted to make for this particular sim haha but thanks to Journey to Batuu I now can!

I gave her a more modern, updated look for the Sims 4
Here's what she originally looked like in The Sims Makin' Magic

Omg I love her??? - NetzspannungSeasoned NewcomerMorgan Fyres walked past my Sim's home while I was playing, so I decided to give her a quick make-over. I mean all the sliders are great, but the opacity slider for make-up is just so helpful for both lighter and darker skintones. Before, most of the make-up only looked good on medium skintones. Here is a before/after of Morgan. I also made her skin a bit darker and changed the shape of her eyes, because I thought it suited her better, but the make-up really makes the biggest difference.

She looks great! Honestly your subtle changes really just made her appearance so much nicer. So the Fyres family - never read much about them, but is it confirmed anywhere that Siobhan is Dominic's biological child and Morgan is Moira's biological child, since genetics do not make sense for Morgan if both parents are biologically hers. I edited my family so that both daughters had the genetics of both parents, but was curious about the Fyres family in general.Spoilerhttps://i.imgur.com/g7XjRcG.png - permanentrose537Seasoned AdventurerAlso here is my sim Nikki looking nice after some skin tone and make up edits :)

It’s all about the subtle differences. Sims can now have so many skin tone variations (though personally I find a great deal of them somewhat unusable but that’s another conversation haha) which is nice for when customizing genetics - you can really make a child’s skin tone look like a mix between their parents with way more variations than before. Also helps make variations for people of the same race but not related which I appreciate too. The make up sliders are super nice - may not be as noticeable to someone who didn’t create the sim themselves or if you don’t see a before picture but being able to choose blush and lipstick shades then play with hue, saturation, opacity etc really helps make up look natural and good on whatever skin tone you picked. For people who enjoy that part of CAS, I think it will be fantastic - permanentrose537Seasoned Adventurer

Its actually quite dramatic. Theres a lot more posts showing that in the sims groups on facebook. Our black sims look MUCH better . There are some really warm tones that are ash-free. We who play with darker sims wanted that.
Well said! I love that I have a lot more options to choose from when making darker skin tones - it’s already making the sims world feel more diverse and real, and I love that. The sliders are nice too since the initial color swatch doesn’t always feel right.
I also have a lot of textured hair downloads so I’m loving pairing them with new skin tones. I finally feel like I have options to make diverse sims. It’s also nice they did the make up update at the same since make up needs to be customized to look right on a wide variety of skin tones - NetzspannungSeasoned NewcomerEven making over random townies is fun again. I do it all the time, so it did become tedious over the years, but with the new skintones and make-up sliders it is much easier and quicker to get a distinctive look.

Yes the difference surely gets more distinct when you make darker sims and they have all these new beautiful skintones to choose from
and there is so many options for makeup that simply did not exist before sliders
I do know that my first changes were really slight though in which case people might not see it but for me it makes worlds difference to not have that row of same skinned sims
like even when its quite similar but i love when they are next to each other and its not complete copy paste
(+ cool toned pale was always a struggle to have in sims cause for some reason they always made either occult skin or warm skin and it annoyed me so I am super happy now)- permanentrose537Seasoned AdventurerWe now have the ability to make our sims look like they got fried one too many times in a tanning bed. What a gift :D :D :DSpoilerhttps://i.imgur.com/BsJDchE.png
