- Karababy52New SpectatorI am loving this update! Years ago I spent a long, long time with lots of research and family photos trying to create a Sim in tribute to our ancestors. When I was finished, I was satisfied with the results, except for one thing, his skintone wasn't quite right. The options we had were either too dark or too light. Plus, the tone I finally settled on was just a bit too yellow as well. I needed a skintone with more reddish tints to it. On that note, here's my Native American Algonquin Potawatomi Sim, Noah Noonday before and after the update.

Looking at this, I think I like the straighter hairstyle better, especially if it fell over the ears. Anyway, I'm extremely happy with the results and I think he looks much closer to our family's ancestors now. I've tried the new make-up too on other Sims, but not very much yet and I didn't take any screenshots. I'm having a blast playing around with it all though and overjoyed I can finally give Noah a skintone much closer to the correct hue for our people. Thanks so much to everyone involved with this update! :)
Happy Simming! <3 - I didn't fix any of my older sims, but yes, new sims are looking great with the new skintones. I like how smoooth and rich those are.
And makeup possibilities are endless, you can make it really really subtle.
These are three students I made yesterday:

I think I will use makeup much, much more now. I prefer more natural look on my sims, so I rarely used all that dramatic options, especially eyeliners. - I also found out if you max out saturation for some makeup it can give you some really cute looks

Love how you made them look so natural and beautiful
my sims tend to get really unrealistic more I create so I love seeing sims just looking like they could actually exist- SEREFRASSeasoned VeteranI altered my Vincent Beast household, Winter Queens household, Japanese Empress sim, Asian Peasant sim & Hybrid sim; so far. They are saved in the Gallery under SEREFRAS. If anyone likes them they can download them to their play & please give me credit for them. I always love to share with other players, it makes it more fun that way. All my creations have no mods in them.
I only play Vanilla, so I only use the Sims 4 tools & my crazy imagination. - Decided to fix Nancy so she doesn't look like a circus clown anymore!

The only items I changed were the eyeliner and her brow colour, otherwise it's all the exact same makeup just toned down with the sliders! - Alexai629Rising Rookie

Morgan Fyres walked past my Sim's home while I was playing, so I decided to give her a quick make-over. I mean all the sliders are great, but the opacity slider for make-up is just so helpful for both lighter and darker skintones. Before, most of the make-up only looked good on medium skintones. Here is a before/after of Morgan. I also made her skin a bit darker and changed the shape of her eyes, because I thought it suited her better, but the make-up really makes the biggest difference.

She looks great! Honestly your subtle changes really just made her appearance so much nicer. So the Fyres family - never read much about them, but is it confirmed anywhere that Siobhan is Dominic's biological child and Morgan is Moira's biological child, since genetics do not make sense for Morgan if both parents are biologically hers. I edited my family so that both daughters had the genetics of both parents, but was curious about the Fyres family in general.Spoilerhttps://i.imgur.com/g7XjRcG.png
I have cousins who have parents who look similar to the Fryes. One child looks black while another child has red hair and green eyes. You never know what you'll get with genetics. - Joanne_SnowRising TravelerI'm not really playing much right now but I did want to check out the new skin tones briefly today and I do think you can do some fun things with the make-up and skin tone sliders. I guess it might become a lot easier to make proper goth sims now too.
However, knowing that this will sound ungrateful, having sliders for skin & make-up, makes me crave them even more for hair and clothes. I mean, now that they're there, sims team, why not just go all in lol
Anywho, here is my quick test (this was a randomized CAS sim I spent incredibly little time on, so I'm moderately pleased lol)
