Share your most traditional and least traditional women sims!

Inspired by @Simmerville 's survey about cooking :)

Who is your most traditional and least traditional woman sim? Including any trans and non-binary sims who feel they would be part of this.
Would love to see pictures too.

And happy international women's day.

This is a great thread. Happy International Women's Day! <3

@Kimmer I love how unique your sims are. They're all so interesting, especially Phoebe, Angel, and Olivia.

@permanentrose I love all of your ladies too. You have so many. Your elder sim, Deidre, also looks so young.

@GrumpyGlowfish The dynamic between Eva and Lilith seems like fun to play. I love how even their senses of fashion seem super different.

All of my sims have their quirks, but those quirks seem to be quite subtle. So I don't have any sim that's stereotypically (non)traditional. But Adelise Fier is probably my most traditional sim. She's a domestic goddess who has never worked outside of her home, and she took her husband's name when she married. Her marriage was even more of an arrangement than it was a love-match. Anyway, Adelise has a feminine style that's slightly conservative, she's very motherly, she excels in feminine arts like music, painting, and cooking, but she's extremely competitive and not particularly modest.

Dysis is probably my most nontraditional sim. Dysis has a feminine style and loves purple, but she also loves her corporate investment job and talking about business/money. She's confident and likes being seen as strong/capable. One of her hobbies is defeating her boyfriend in games. She's not good at arts, music, cooking, anything traditionally feminine ... So, of course, the lowest grade she ever received in university was in flower arranging.

  • Well, speaking of traditional and not so traditional gals
my brain will just automatically jump to my main lady
    Catherine Sim
(yes, my sims have very creative surnames)

and yes she is very traditional in many ways...
has husband, few kids, likes to do things considered feminine i suppose...
but also..not so traditional compared to well... everyone ever

@SimsLady2000 The household with Corin, Thalia, and Irina was inspired by a novel I read where there was a similar situation with a young woman having the help of her two best friends to raise her daughter, so I used the concept since I thought it was cute. If I ever decide to actually play that household more seriously, I do think it would be fun to have Winslet, the daughter, form a unique bond with all three of her mother figures and see how that would shape her life. But really I just created the backstory for them and haven't really done too much gameplay with them, but maybe one day!

@hanuel The sims in your legacy are all so gorgeous! I do have a lot of ladies, haha, I just tend to like playing with female sims more than males so there are more females I focus on in my rotational play. I intentionally tried to make Deirdre look like a young elder, going for that vibe of her being kind of hip and in her 60s, didn't want her to look like a grandma at all (though I do have elders that are your more traditional old folks for sure haha). I try to make life stages feel diverse when I can :)

    ---

I'll share a few more because why not lol?

Ruth Farley - never too old for motherhood
    Spoiler
This is Ruth. She and her husband, Clarence, were never able to have children, and finally in their old age, they decided to adopt and add little Vivian to their lives <3

Maureen Lockhart - motherhood at any cost
    Spoiler
Maureen Lockhart has a sad story. She also has never been able to have children, and all she wants in life is to be a mother. She has the family oriented trait and big happy family aspiration, but I made her infertile in CAS. She had a husband for a while, but recently divorced him when she discovered he was having an affair. One day, I had her go to the Lost Gardens of Healing, a pre-made lot from the romantic garden pack, and she wished at the Whispering Wishing Well for a child...and it gave her this ghost child, Arthur. Kind of perfect for her - now she can have her child quite literally forever, without him ever growing up, as ghosts will not age. A strangely happy ending? Idk, you can decide haha

Adalia Jacobs - all skin is beautiful
    Spoiler
I really love my vitiligo CC, just one small way I can add some diversity to my game in an easy way. Adalia is a single mom raising a teen daughter in an apartment in San Myshuno. Adalia has recently started a little romance with the single dad who lives next door :)

Magnolia Jacobs and Temperance - Ghostly girlfriends
    Spoiler
Adalia's sister, Magnolia, lives in a Haunted House in Brindleton Bay, and in an unexpected turn of events, has romanced Temperance and now Temperance spends more of her time in green and pink moods rather than her default raging red :)

    Lila Beckett - Weimaraner breeder
    Spoiler
Lila is also a single mom, but she's made a good living for her and her two sons, Ollie and Wilder, by breeding top notch Weimaraners. Ollie and Wildler have a live in nanny who watches them while Lila goes off to her other property during breeding season. (Having two separate households gives me more room to have more puppies too :) )

@Amapola76 Not quite, but they definitely look like them. You can download it here https://www.houseofharlix.com/bafroom if you're interested. :)

This is a really fun idea for a thread!

I discovered that, even though I have tons of mid-century-influenced female Sims who seem traditional on the surface, none of them seem to be completely traditional. Julie Smith is the first one who came to mind when I thought of traditional women. At one time, she was a mid-century housewife who loved cooking, cleaning, and spending time with her children. But her husband left her, so she raised twin boys on her own and does all repairs herself.

Dorothy Friend is similar to Julie in that she does a lot of cooking and cleaning. She's an old-fashioned midwestern elderly woman who likes quiet, homey activities like reading and rocking in her chair. But she is currently raising seven grandchildren by herself, managing the household, and doing most repairs as well. She also has purple streaks in her hair. She is pictured here with her brother Teddy.

I had thought Jessica Kringle might be the winner, but I realized that she is the sole breadwinner in her family and supports her husband's eccentric philanthropism.

I have lots of non-traditional women. Manda Kihn is non-traditional because, well, she's a mannequin come to life. But she is also a powerful leader of an odd religious group, and she has zero interest in cooking or cleaning.

    https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/50595538722_6d4d122bf1_b.jpg

T'Pol is a powerful Vulcan political leader who also does zero cooking or cleaning.

Even though Ellis is a man, he wanted to be included here. :) His body type is female. He is married to a man and is very romantic and feminine in many ways, but he is also a judge, and his husband does most of the cooking and cleaning.

My main female Sim, Sylvia Keene-Friend, is a secret agent who enjoys farting and peeing in the pool. She is extremely strong, and her husband does all the cooking.

  • Here are the two female sims I have played the most, twin sisters Rhydia and Leoni Strange:
    https://i.imgur.com/qBYVdYf.png?1
Both were vampire/ warlock hybrids but Rhydia recently became an immortal mermaid. Before moving to the human world, the sisters grew up as orphans in the Outer Magical Realm. Both are clever, cunning and take no nonsense from anyone. The Occult Inclusivity Scheme set them up in a house share with two warlock princes, one of whom went on to become Leoni's husband. (All actually started off as warlocks but were later turned into vampires, regaining their warlock abilities at the same time).
Rhydia currently works as a secret agent. She is the more responsible and level headed of the two sisters. As well as her intelligence, she can fix anything, has immense strength and excels at sports. Rhydia also loves her food, no matter what quality. She has had a few brief relationships in the past (male and female), but is undecided as to whether she wants to settle down or not.
Leoni is an aspiring comedian. She appears to be in her own world sometimes, but underneath she is a devious, crafty prankster and loves to compete with her husband Norrell for who can come up with the best pranks. She plays the piano, organ and violin and likes to incorporate these into her comedy routines. She has a playful, eccentric nature. It is not uncommon for her to launch into a musical number when she feels the time is right.

A female sim I have played more recently is Samphy Sparke-Undine:
    https://i.imgur.com/3xabcr0.png
Samphy is a spellcaster (well, 2 thirds spellcaster and 1 third vampire. Parents are one of each). She is a genius inventor, always tinkering with new magical items or adding upgrades to her rocket broom. Her broom is her prized possession. Unfortunately, she is not very good at flying it and frequently crashes. Her spells and potions often go wrong as well, but when she does get them right they work very well. She is highly knowledgeable of her craft and now, having recently graduated to Virtuoso rank, enjoys teaching other novices magic too.
She has a familiar named Lucky, a Veild who is mischievous and curious like her spellcaster companion.

My most tradional Sim woman was Viktoria Kaufmann, foundress of my decade challenge. May she rest in peace.
She went through some rough times from being a poor woman with absolutely no rights to some wealth, but she never has lost her smile and faith.

This picture was made in the better times. Here she (the lady in the brown dress) is together with 6 of her 7 children. I can't believe that her oldest child Wilhelm (next to her) is already a senior. :'(

My most non-traditional woman is my Dora Shepard, my somewhat Simversion of one of my Mass Effect Shepards. Lived as a streetkid, joined the military, travels now through the space as an astronaut. She is married of course to a nonhuman and has one daughter.
