One of the stand out features of Seasons is the calendar. Yes, there is a glitch with the create a events option at the moment but I'm loving the holidays and the little surprise ones that get dropped in along on the way. Share:-The Name-The Traditions/Activites-The Season and-If you have had it already, any pictures you have tooI have created two for summer next Sims week (I'm currently nearing the end of Spring having begun on the last day of Summer when launching).Firstly, The Summer Cooldown is held on the last day of summer and gives all Sims the day off. Sims have BBQs, share the party spirit, drink and enjoy water fun like water balloon fights. Secondly, as I am obsessed with multisport events like The Olympics and Commonwealth Games, I have set up a holiday for The Osympics (the name is a work is progress haha). Held in mid Summer, Sims watch sports TV (I'm picturing a big screen outside!), drink and share party spirit.I'm looking forward to seeing how they turn out, but what have you guys been up to?

I made my first custom holiday that I am calling Home and Hearth Day. It's the first Friday of spring.It kinda of like a Spring Cleaning/Arbor Day celebration.-Appreciate an Object (Home object)-Cleaning-Gardening-BakingI will also have my sims add a tree to the home lot.I haven't celebrated it yet, so I don't know if it's something I will have my sims to continue celebrating.I'll add pictures later.Pictures now added.And it's a lot:Spoiler (Highlight to read)Home and Hearth Day starts off with a big breakfast.Next time I will have a sim get up much earlier and have an assortment of foods ready.My sims started the day appreciating objects around the home to keep them busy while Meadow made breakfast.There were some object to repair, so Zane took care of those.This did not count towards the holiday however. I made Chinese New Year. Normally it goes for something like a whole week but I made it three days instead. The first day traditions are cleaning and gardening (because my mother in law insists the house has to be spotless or else you'll have bad luck in the new year), then the second day is Chinese New Year Eve, it's traditions are drinking, baking, thankful spirit, make resolutions, and grand meal, and the last day is Chinese New Year, it's traditions are drinking, grand meal, invite guests, give gifts, and fireworks. (Now, the gifts are supposed to be money and only given to the children, but there's no option for that :( )The next custom holiday I've made is Australia Day, it's traditions are water fun, party spirit, drinking, bbq, and fireworks.And my last custom holiday is Spirit Day, it's traditions are attend holiday ceremony, rememberance, tell stories, and drinking.

I made midsummer fest and there were just the perfect trafitions for it:- Barbeque- Drinks- Light a bonfire- Take a vacation (in Granite Falls)- Water funI haven't played it yet, but looking forward to see if it will be ruined by heavy rain like in RL usually :smiley:

My sim is currently dating an Indian girl and will most likely marry her. So I was looking to make Diwali so she can celebrate it, problem is I have no idea how to make it. When I do I'll come back.

Ooo I haven't tried Easter yet. Im focusing on Love Day in Spring this time around thanks to the storyline Im currently playing out haha,
I love the Home and Hearth Day idea and the traditions work great there!

I made Simdependence Day, with fireworks, water fun, invite guests, BBQ and drinking.

I also created midsummer fest and it was a great success. It was the first saturday in summer.

I used the traditions:
Bar-b-que, drinking, party spirit, water fun and light a fire (bonfire) :)

You guys are so creative. I love these ideas. I feel, as a Brit, I should be Fireworks Day / Bonfire Night / Guy Fawkes for Autumn too. Fireworks and light a fire will definitely be on the list there haha.
@Thunderbat87 I'm so pleased your event wasn't ruined by rain. I can totally see that happening to my Summer Cooldown!
@Doodlydoofus Diwali is an excellent idea. Light candles, grand meal, decorate and perhaps art and music spirit would be good here. The Rangoli patterns of Diwali are beautiful. You might find some similar patterns and other useful objects in the City Living EP if you have it as there there was a big diveristy element to it.
