In anticipation of the new Royalty and Legacy pack, I thought it would be fun to share screenshots and stories of Sims in our games who are destined for the throne or royal households. I've seen comm...
These are my vampires of Forgotten Hollow. For a while they have been considered the Vampire Council of Sim Nation. As you can see, Bella Goth is among them. Long ago, Vlad took the Vatores and Dracula to the Goth home to abduct Bella and embraced her into the vampire world. She is miserably living with Vlad, struggling with her condition. Vlad has always intended to make her "queen", to influence both the mortal and vampire world under his control.
The Vatores have been compliant and supportive of Vlad, especially Lilith, who believes vampires need a leader, and they have both befriended Bella, but for different reasons. Lilith believes Bella needs a friendly face among the vampires, someone to teach her the ways and help her embrace her new life, but Caleb, who is known to be sulky about the vampire business and a "vegetarian" to avoid human plasma, feels sorry for Bella, and is quietly appealing to her humanity.
Bella, meanwhile, tried to challenge Vlad to win her freedom back, and failed. Being honorable, she had agreed that if she lost, she would willingly live in his mansion and accept her new fate, so she has held to her word thus far. But once she started to know Caleb and see his alternative lifestyle and unconventional attitude, she has been secretly plotting a way to get Caleb to help her return to her family.
Dracula, however, creates another problem. He is used to being a ruler and taking what he wants. But Vlad, being more powerful and much older, with the support of the Vatores (and some others from different towns,) has kept him in check. But Dracula has three loyal Brides who have been with him for a long time and they can be a formidable coven. Always one to plan ahead, Dracula decided he wanted a son - an heir and powerful connection to the modern world, to mold in his image, follow in his footsteps so that they would become too powerful to defeat.
(The offspring of vampires in my game are revered because they are quick learners and mingle with mortals enough to integrate into both worlds, creating powerful alliances and understanding of new technology while the aging vampires have a tendency to be "traditionalists" and fade into obsoletion.)
As fate would have it, Dracula's Brides have all given him "only" daughters. Old (and outdated) tradition puts slightly more value on a son. But Dracula has been preparing his first born, Carmilla, while planning to still one day have a son. What he doesn't realize is that her fraternal twin sister, Claudia, is already a force and wild card. Claudia doesn't like her father much... or even her mother... or general authority for that matter, since she was a defiant toddler. Her loyalty is to her sister alone, and she intends to see Carmilla recognized as the rightful heir and next vampire monarch. And she will use the other girls if she must, to see it through.
But something unexpected has happened. Bella gave birth to a son. (Somehow Neighborhood Stories made Bella pregnant, even though I usually keep it off, so I decided to run with it.) It would seem that before her kidnapping, she and Mortimer had been romantic. Vlad supplied Bella with everything she needed to keep her from running away. Apparently, Vlad is not the tyrant one expects and is willing to do whatever it takes to keep Bella in his clutches. Perhaps he is wiser than anyone realized. Perhaps he has some other unknown agenda...
Despite trying to keep the birth quiet, whispers of the boy's existence has reached Dracula, who is enraged that Vlad's queen should produce a male heir. He doesn't yet know that the child is Mortimer's, or even worse...that he is human, not vampire.
Where the story goes from here, we shall have to wait and see.
