I like this update. It seems like the autonomy is improved as well. Sims aren't just going to grab glasses of water and to play on the computer constantly.
Right now, I'm playing a happier household. The YA was just graduating and had been dating her young-looking professor. They married and had a son. She comes from a close-knit family in my game so her parents come over a lot. The young couple found out they were expecting before they got married. Her dad came over, acted embarrassed and had an unhappy conversation with her baby daddy. It seemed more interactive than before.
I've generally seen the highly romantic sentiments because the couple were pairing off and now aren't that dramatic. Her parents and sister come over a lot and tend to talk with her. They have sentiments about memories. It's definitely better. Probably my only complaint is that the game crashed for the first time basically ever.
I can see how I'll have more negative sentiments, drama and arguments in some other households. I like that the couple autonomously takes a lot of interest in each other. I like the change and being able to do what I want with it. I agree that there should be more sentiments around babies.
Oh, I had a sim refuse to knit because she did not want to right before she gave birth. That was also a change.
