I just started my vampires, and I have a little bit of a story so far.
Ebony Cielle and Scar Crimson were turned around the same time by the same vampire, basically making them siblings. Their maker ran off, leaving the two of them to fend for themselves. They found out about Forgotten Hollow and relocated there, building themselves a modest house to live in.
Ebony embraces all that being a vampire is; she revels in hunting for prey, and has never had a compulsion fail since her powers stabilised. Scar can't drink from people, can't deal with the guilt he feels every time. With the help of Ebony, who is much more learned in the ways of their kind, he discovers ways of sustaining his immortal life without taking life from a person.
Scar falls in with Caleb (he literally showed up one day and I couldn't get him to leave so I made him part of the family) and eventually they got married. They're expecting a child, and because the house they built sits on a dark ley line, they're hoping for a vampire child. Ebony hasn't found anyone, but they have adopted a human for her to feed on on occasion (she tried to leave with a vampire tome in her pocket, now she's part of the family). She lives in the basement and generally keeps a distance from Ebony, although she seems to like the guys well enough.
Ebony has had a few visits from Vlad (which she's benefited from greatly) but so far he's ignored Scar and Caleb.
