Sharing is Caring - will this ever be fixed?

SOOoo, after taking a break from Sims 4 for about 3 years, I decided to come back to it and try out the new packs I've missed out on and I remembered why I took a break from this game in the first place. Something is always horribly broken that makes the game unplayable. I encountered Sharing is Caring is everyone is a damn klepto, ruining my community lots. I just wanted to double-check if this is something EA is aware of and will fix so that we have more options to control our game. I'm beyond tired of my community lots being wiped.

Do I need to place a residential lot in every district, in every neighborhood, cheat-disable sharing is caring in all of it and then turn off all the eco-living options in the menu? Has this worked out for people? Without having to use a mod? I was going to try that and cross my fingers because it would be really nice not to limit my playing to one household, one neighborhood. I'd like my sims who live in Windenburg to visit Sulani if they want, but I'm wracked with fear that as soon as they get there, everything will start disappearing because every sim apparently just empties out my lot. I think this may the worst thing I've encountered so far in this game. This might be a new low. I can roll my eyes and deal with endless cakes and clay, but please, stop destroying my lots.

That's what I did, but my sims still used the future cube and played music constantly.

Turns out Maxis caused a bug which causes the NAP autonomy to get stuck on sims. The only way I was able to solve it was to download simvasions mod which fixes it.

After that they finally stopped stealing things and playing with the clay and the future cube all the time.

As did I, but my sims are still looting my tables and chairs and whatnot when I choose to visit a different neighborhood's community lot. I dunno what the patch fixed, but it didn't seem to work as intended.
  • You have to use the mailbox cheat to take the NAP away or have your Sim repeal it though game play. Then go around and take away all the annoying objects like future cubes etc from all the inventories.

You can also go into options and disable NAPS.

I did not bother to do any of this I just started a new save with all EL disabled until they fix it all. I did get Basemental's mod but haven't turned it on yet for my new save.

How lame. The main reason I haven't bought this EP yet is I have heard countless bugs.
