You have to use the mailbox cheat to take the NAP away or have your Sim repeal it though game play. Then go around and take away all the annoying objects like future cubes etc from all the inventories.
You can also go into options and disable NAPS.
I did not bother to do any of this I just started a new save with all EL disabled until they fix it all. I did get Basemental's mod but haven't turned it on yet for my new save.
