Sharks?

If you're usually hanging out in the water with your sim in the deeper part you may be lucky to see one. Earliest I've seen one is being in the water for about 2 sim hours longest about 4 to 5 sim hours.

There's also a dramatic chord of music when a shark does show up. It stills startles me. This is pretty much your only warning if you don't get your sim back to shore ASAP as it's a precursor to their demise. :#

My sim was swimming out to one of the buoys, she got about halfway there when this guy showed up. She screamed out loud, and then turned around and swam back to shore.

That's a great white but it isn't the only shark in this pack. Their are other species of shark as well. I've also seen a blacktip reef shark.

I saw your screenshot on another thread awhile back but it’s just the coolest possible picture ? I can’t believe it was so close! I’ve only seen one fin so far but I think once my sim is established with a family he’ll spend all his time in the deep water so I can hopefully find out how dangerous the sharks really are. For research purposes only, of course (and definitely not to try and kill him so I can see the new death type) ?.

I haven't seen any sharks, nor have any of my sims have had the "fin fear" moodlet. I also don't see any dolphin schools under the water. I don't suppose this has anything to do with me playing on medium resolution?
The only fish I ever see under the water are random medium sized fish, and those small leopard sharks.

No I play on ultra and I haven't yet met a shark or dolphin either (except the dolphin my mermaid summoned) :)

Okay, I cheated to make and keep my sim happy and had him in the water (near the deep water buoy) for 16 hours. Nothing. I'm starting to suspect a mod causing this. I also never saw any turtle hatching event even though it was announced.

Where did you go for the turtle hatching event? It’s just below the shipwreck lot (Incase you didn’t know ?).

Re the turtle hatching: My sims live on Mua Pel'am. And yes, I've checked all the beaches constantly after the message and nothing.

And I just removed all my mods, brought up an old save and played with a townie. Had her in the water for nearly 3 days. She had fin fear several times but I never saw any sharks or fins. And she didn't get eaten either, lol. The latter being good, because I don't want any of my sims to be eaten, but I kinda would like to see sharks.
