Is there any point in growing plants inside? my sim was growing roses in a planter inside his home but only had 3 flowers bloom i put it outside as it was the flowers season and it shot up to 10 flowe...

Yup. After I got Seasons back in 2018, I learned to keep my plants in the house or build a green house for the plants.
I was even able to have my sims graft multiple flowers, multiple fruits, multiple vegetables & multiple herbs.
Unfortunately, after I got Discover University the plants didn't work so well.
