Time needs to be frozen anyway.
Let's say a term is a week. That means 56 days to graduation. How long is the lifespan on normal? In 56 days, not only can the Sim you send off age transition, but pets and Sims left at home could die of old age. Toddlers and children would age and you wouldn't have been able to control them. They would not have developed skills or character traits.
Unless time is frozen, Uni is a bad idea in this iteration. :(
