Oh, and another cool thing I like about having your sims work from home is that there is more time to develop the skills of toddlers. For my families with live-in nannies, I’d just have the nannies work on leveling up the toddler’s skills while the parents were at work.
@stilljustme2 made a good point about sims getting drafted into roles as waitresses or food stall vendors if they don’t have careers. I use self-employment and business owner mods for my sims that work from home or own retail stores. They don’t actually make an income with the mod, but it’s a placeholder for the career panel so the sim doesn’t seem unemployed. This way sims will say they are self-employed or business owners when asked about their careers, and they aren’t placed in job roles I don’t want them to have. I didn’t know about the Writer Work From Home mod, but I’d use it for my work from home writer sim.
