If you have never played her household, she might actually attend university on her own, proceed through it with an average grade, and you can enjoy the benefits of that without the hassle of playing her. In my test run, Alice Spencer-Kim appeared as a dorm roommate and sure enough, she finished the term with my sim and re-enrolled on her own. I didn’t have to play her, it just happened. So I look forward to encountering sims like this in the future, it sure improves the dating pool. There’s just no guarantee she’ll enroll. But the moment you start controlling her, it’s in your hands from then on, and if you do, I’d recommend keeping all your enrolled sims in the same household to maintain control over their success at uni. Rotational play works really strangely for played households. Sometimes they do well, sometimes they end up on probation- I am still figuring that part out.
