The game doesn't have to look like alpha content with "perfect realism), IMHO. I'd much rather that they spend any time they have aside from making new content to improve other things about the game. I figure if someone doesn't like the hair, they can find custom content to substitute.
Also, more realistic hair also means higher poly count, which means the computer has to work harder to render the asset. And that is bad for people who don't have high end computers. *My* game can handle the higher polycounts, but I try to think about how those who aren't as lucky as I am. Already, with the addition of platforms to the base game, some people are having more difficulty playing the game, even with decreasing the settings. (And most people can't afford a "gaming" computer when it's their parents paying for what the parents expect to be a "school" computer. I'm an adult. I can buy what *I* choose. Not everyone has that choice.)
