- I wouldn't want mandatory overrides. Some of the base game hairs are crazy but they work for some sims, I wouldn't want them to just be deleted and replaced.
As someone else said, for me I want new swatches more than anything else. It's so disappointing how there's no dark blonde/neutral light brown swatches, they're such common colours I don't understand why they aren't even there. - KatAnubis5 years agoSeasoned AceThe game doesn't have to look like alpha content with "perfect realism), IMHO. I'd much rather that they spend any time they have aside from making new content to improve other things about the game. I figure if someone doesn't like the hair, they can find custom content to substitute.
Also, more realistic hair also means higher poly count, which means the computer has to work harder to render the asset. And that is bad for people who don't have high end computers. *My* game can handle the higher polycounts, but I try to think about how those who aren't as lucky as I am. Already, with the addition of platforms to the base game, some people are having more difficulty playing the game, even with decreasing the settings. (And most people can't afford a "gaming" computer when it's their parents paying for what the parents expect to be a "school" computer. I'm an adult. I can buy what *I* choose. Not everyone has that choice.) - sallycutecat5 years agoNew AceI think the hair colours themselves should get an update first. Now they've given sliders for skin tones they have to at least give us sliders or a colourwheel for hair colours. The more hair styles they update the less likely it seems they will actually update hair colours.
- Kimmer_one5 years agoSeasoned AceIt's okay, as long as they don't change them to look too much like alpha. A little bit of fix is okay, but I like "clay hair".
- logionX5 years agoSeasoned AceIt would be nice if they could add sliders for the colors, but I'm not sure how much effort that should go into the actual hairstyles, it sounds like a lot of work.
Some base game hairstyles are really not looking great so they would have to remake them completely. - GlacierSnowGhost5 years agoSeasoned AceI do not want the appearance of my existing sims to change. So I don't want changes made to the existing hair.
- Hermitgirl5 years agoSeasoned AceMost of the hairs I use on my sims are from packs because they look better. I wouldn't mind if they worked their magic on the basegame hairs as long as they are recognizable and not changed too much. Some more color options would be great too.
- Chicklet453685 years agoSeasoned AceI would prefer better swatches over anything. I would like a neutral blonde (not mustard yellow or greenish yellow), a neutral/ashy brown (that doesn't have red tones in it), and actual black hair that doesn't have overly blue highlights. More swatches with all of the sliders for the makeup would do wonders, in my opinion.
- MsPigglyPooh5 years agoSeasoned AceIf they were good at balancing fixing issues with the game (Bugs and glitches, etc) I would say I hope they hop to it really soon, However, that doesn't seem to be the case. Thus, unless they can find a good balance, I would want them revamped, BUT I know how things are, and it's not something that should have top priority.
