Should they remove reputation from TS4?

I think it should be an opt-in thing, like fame. Then again, with the recent bug that happened where sims were gaining fame even when they shouldn't have been, who knows how long that toggle would actually stay functional before an update broke it...

Personally, I hate reputation. I get it's real, but after doing something good or bad, how many stalkers call you about it? Not very realistic.

I don't think it should be removed but I think it should be tweaked

Having a good or bad reputation among other people isn't the same as being a good or bad person.

If you don't have that, you don't have it at all. I don't have Get Famous so my Sims don't have a reputation.

No need to remove it, just get rid of the reproachful phone calls whenever a sim was in a fight. Sometimes my sim was attacked and still got called out for "violence", other times they attacked first, but it was justified in-story. Fortunately there's a mod that takes care of these calls quite consistently.

The job offer phonecalls from a good reputation are also the only way to get a real job for many sims in my two saves that simulate a tight job market.

I'm not sure if they should or shouldn't, but I don't ever look at the reputation and I often ignore any notifications I get from it. It doesn't seem to effect my gameplay much so I'm not sure why it's needed.

Isn't the reputation thing mainly for people who have the Fame EP ?
If you don't have that, I don't think it really does much in the game, does it?
