I had one alien sim among my YA sims when I first started with TS4.
When I rebooted my sim for Toddlers and Parenthood, I aged them all down to toddlers and gave them parents.
This gave me a chance to play out their origin stories.
This is my alien sim's origin story, which starts with her arrival at Miss Peregrine's home for peculiar children.

"Well look at you!
People are going to start calling this place the home for adorable children."
She is a teen now. This was from the day she aged up and I wanted to see her alien form.
She rarely changes into alien form.
She is currently living at her University prep school.
This is from her orientation day visit.

Miss Peregrine puts Gamma down.
Whereupon the child suddenly transforms:
"Miss Peregrine...
What is she?"
"She's blue, like Hecate.
Is she like us?"
Miss Peregrine is more concerned about this suddenly transformation.
"Gamma, change back. Please change back."
"Is she like us Miss Peregrine? Can we change like that too?"
"No, Ceridwen. Gamma is... something else."
Bastet was lost in her own thoughts as Gamma changed back to human form.
Her subconscious mind however, did not miss a thing.
"Great cats! What was that?
How did she do that?"
"Bastet, this is Gamma. She will be living with us."
"Excellent! If someone gets too annoying about my cat eyes, I can say, 'Oh, this is nothing compared to my changeling sister.'"
"You will say no such thing!"
"Are you hungry, Gamma?"
"Welcome to Freak Club, kid."
It's going to be great having my alien back in the game.
