I believe the whole stealing issue is about re-uploading the sim as your own creation. Clearly that's bad manners.
If it's an unchanged sim with the same clothes and name yes. But that's not what the OP means is it?
I wasn't sure if the OP was accused of stealing themself or just annoyed at seeing people talk about stealing in general. I don't think they should worry about uploading a randomised sim, someone to claim that stolen is just acting stupid.
