I'm impartial to this (and memories as well, as some people have brought up) because I really never used it, but I know others love this feature. I wouldn't hate it if it came back as it would probably not affect me in any way. I think I used to go way too in-depth when I wrote them and then they just kind of eventually were forgotten. So I just kept their stories in my head when I played.
