Sim Biographies: Do You Miss This Feature?

In previous games, there was the option to further your sim’s personality via a blurb you could write about them. In the past I hardly used this feature, but now that I’m making a save with custom sims, I’m finding the household biography just isn’t cutting it for storytelling. It works well enough for single sim households, but add a couple more and the room for individual character backstory shrinks substantially. Considering we are limited to three traits per-sim (ignoring aspiration and reward traits ), having this feature return would be handy for further personalization of our sims.

    That was one of the first missing features I noticed in TS4. It's weird how we can add descriptions to almost everything, including some of the sims' own creations like books and apps, but not the sims themselves.

    Not that I used it very often in previous games, but it is a great tool to give Sims that extra bit of personality.

    Yes, although memories like in TS2 are more important to me

    Yes! I've been hoping they'd add this in since base game came out. I feel like I need it now i'm playing with such a large family, I can hardly keep track of their stories haha.

    It's not like the biography affects gameplay and sim behaviour, so it's not a priority to me at all, but I'll admit sometimes I miss having it for when I give myself little challenges. I used to write down some goals in the bio so that if I came back to the game a long time later, I could check it and remember what I was trying to do.

    I also miss the story/memory feature where we use to take a picture and attach a memory to it

    Yeeeeees.

    I always write sim biographies in CAS for my TS2 sims. It adds an extra layer of character story that I find really interesting. Sims in TS3 also have them if you have Generations, even sims previous to that EP have written biographies by the developers in their scrapbooks which is really awesome!

    Yes! As a story teller, it's a great tool for me. I also second the notion of having memories return, I dearly miss them.
