Sim going on vacation
When a sim is going on vacation, will they automatically be called out of work or does my sim still have to call out everyday while on the vacation?

- I just took my Main Household to Sulani for a much-needed vacation. Both of my Rock Star's brothers who live with him are gainfully employed. Aaron, his older brother is an MVP for his soccer team, while his next younger brother, Joey, is a General Practioner at the clinic. These two had a completely uninterrupted vacation. Erik who is basically Self-Employed had a couple of concerts and photoshoots to attend, however.
So to answer your question in setting up the vacation, employers appear to be notified. Erik is the one who made the arrangements, too. Both of his brothers received checks from their employers while on vacation. - @Admiral8Q I haven't experienced needing to phone out on subsequent days, in my case when my Sims are in a vacation home they use a vacation day for each day they miss their shift.
- They will use up one of their acquired vacation days and will still get paid! I have never tried to take a vacation with a Sim that didn't have any vacation days, so not sure what would happen in that instance.
- Would be good to be able to allocate vacation days to Sims so you don't have to manually tell them to every single day. That gets annoying, and if you forget, they have to leave work (or school) which count's as a negative "ding" on their progress.
For example, if a Sim has let's say 20 vacation days saved up, allocate 7 of them. So for 7 days they will automatically be on vacation from work (or school).

@aaronrulz To answer your question, as @GirafHuntr said, they should automatically take a vacation day right away. But you will have to manually do that for each Sim every day after that if you want he/she/them/it to stay on vacation with pay, without considered missing work, (or school without considered 'skipping classes'). Did not try either, but my guess is their boss will call them - boss probably won't know the sim is not at home oversleeping ;)- I took a couple members of the household, and the ones left behind still demanded attention. I think I had to go back to send them to school/work, then find my vacationing couple again. It was a mess. :(
