I use the UI cheat mod to adjust moodlets. It's only partly cheating, I think, because I might let them keep a sad moodlet for say 1 day, then delete it if I will rather do something else than being sad. The fine thing about UI Cheat is that you can decide whether you use it or not, it won't do anything unless you choose it to.
