Huh, this sounds really weird! I didn't know that this could happen with your played Sims. Maybe it's a bug with the new feature? So far I've only had it happen with family members who have moved out or neighbors that my Sims know. I also didn't get any pop ups though when a neighbor Sim got pregnant, so I guess it just happens after saying yes on a phone call or after convincing them to have a baby by discussing it with them.
