I think the upshot of all this will be the end of the SimGuru program. I have my doubts that they will be back ever. It was a voluntary ambassador program that some of the devs undertook out of their love for the game, and their goodwill has been exploited time and time again and this latest incident has a whiff of the last straw to me. It’s unfortunate and I hope I am wrong but you can only push people so far.
Couldn't have said it better myself.
I too wouldn't be surprised if the gurus throw in the towel at this point either. It's not in their job description to have to put up with abuse from the community, nor should they have to. They're not obligated to grovel and answer to the screamers on social media, including this forum and this very thread.
I don’t think people at EA or on this forum should be shouted at or screamed at. It’s not nice and yelling won’t fix things.
People do have a genuine complaint about a product that’s not working. A wedding pack… where you can’t get married. I do understand why people are complaining.
I’m not complaining as I bought it for the world.
The game produces strong emotions and they sometimes are hard to manage. We have to support each other through this.
I wonder if it helps if a separate department was handling when things that go wrong?
Sim Gurus have been good ambassadors and have clear passion for this game. I am grateful they exist.
