It means the Sims 4 is getting packs for probably at least 1-2 more years. The game sales are really good on consoles and PC so they will keep making packs
He is only talking about “next year” and the interview is from 2017. He also seems to be impressed by the fact that “next year the game will be 4 years old and we are still here!” So yes, - they will “still be here” in 2018. But the way he says it still just indicate that in 2019 the Sims 5 could likely be released and the Sims 4 teams therefore will have to switch to the new game.
