It's really interesting to see how different the three trailers are!
TS2 trailer was very upfront, describing the new gameplay, which isn't done much anymore; the trailers today only show you new stuff and let you discover and speculate on what it will actually be like in game. Which I don't hate honestly, it adds to the excitement. It also seemed to focus on rendering the atmosphere of each season. We can hear a lot of sound effects and it shows way more heavy snow and rain than TS4 trailer, in which there is mainly light snow and light rain, except for the short moment when we can see a storm caused by the weather machine. The only sound in TS4 trailer is the music, not much emphasis is put on the potential sound atmosphere, that the viewer has to imagine. However it shows a lot of new interactions, and clearly is focused on the added gameplay.
I also think TS3 trailer was the most appealing because the atmosphere of each season seems so beautiful in it, and I guess for me that is what matters the most in a seasons EP.
Btw can we talk about the choice of music for every TS4 trailers? Most people seem to like them, but personally they always make me so uncomfortable. Am I alone in this? I have nothing against pop music, I even kind of like it, but these songs always seem to be the kind of songs one would expect when watching a trailer for an american teenage movie. I'm almost surprised Zac Efron isn't in there.
By that I do not mean it is a bad song, it is pretty nice, but it does create the effect you are watching something specifically targeted towards teenagers. I wish the trailers didn't always have that same style. For seasons I would have loved to hear something else, maybe jazz for instance, as there are lots of songs associated with Christmas or with summer.
I totally agree with this. All of the songs in the Sims 4 trailers are pretty meh and I miss when they did a simlish version. Even my boyfriend comes up to me while I am watching trailers and comments on how bad the song choices is, haha.
The only song I actually did like for once was the one in the Cats & Dogs trailer.
I miss when they used the actual Sims music for the trailers, like in the Sims 2 ones. For some reason the original music always made me so excited. - Sims 4 trailer I guess lol
Edit: The title is about comparing the trailers but the post itself on comparing the packs? We don't have Sims 4 Seasons yet so there isn't much to compare here. - Love seasons in 2 and 3. Got a feeling that will continue for 4. :)
- Sims 3 seasons hands down for me. As far as expansions but if I had to pick a favorite trailer it would be sims 2. It was just so thought out and showed everything.
With sims 4 it seems these trailers are getting shorter and shorter "Wizardofweather1;c-16493277" wrote:
@luthienrising Hey, I Hear Your The Life Of The Party Here On The Forums, I Am So So Honored.
Lol no. I mostly make lists of stuff :D I'm boring at parties.
Also, it was fun to see those trailers again!- Sims 3 by a mile, now if only Sims 4 could have kept, improved and added upon Sim3's seasons it could be brilliant, unfortunately I have a feeling content will be ripped out and stripped back in this pack... because that's what Sims 4 does
- neylajcSeasoned NewcomerI preferred Seasons in 3 more than 2, mainly due to the open world. I have a feeling 4 will be a nice mixture of 2
and 3 (minus open world obviously) "cactusjuice;c-16493303" wrote:

For Me The Only Problem Is No New World Honestly.- HermitgirlNew SpectatorAll of the trailers made me awww. Nostalgia with all the music especially.
I don't remember ever watching the first two sims videos during the time of release. I must have been really busy with life during the Sims 2 Seasons period because although I got it and incorporated it into my game I don't remember playing with much of that stuff. I want to catch fireflies in a jar now (I know we have them in 4 but that particular animation was fun). Also makes me want a juicer but I think that will come if not this time then with another sort of pack. I don't like the Sims 3 art style for the sims themselves so it doesn't make me want it but the music is great also makes me want apple bobbing, trick or treating and pumpkin stomping. I think beach stuff and activities will come to 4 with a vacation pack. The Sims 4 trailer I think I've watched about 30 times already and .. can't wait to have this stuff in my game it gives me happy, warm feelings and the grins. Actually all of it does what is that saying? Comparison is the thief of joy. - All three trailers made me cry tears of joy when I first saw them, so I honestly don't know if I could pick a 'favorite'... lol However, probably due to nostalgia, I'd probably have to say Sims 2: Seasons was my overall favorite! It makes me think so much of my childhood! I was like 11 years old when that pack came out (I'm 23 now).
