Sims 2 mostly looks old, which it is. I don't mean that in a bad way, but you can really tell it's an old game.
Comparing 3 and 4: Sims 3 has more featutes, but almost all of those already exist in the game in Sims 4 if you have bought other packs. The only thing Sims 4 don't have is sunburns and ocean swimming. Pool parties, I guess? But then just throw a house party at a pool, and it kinda sorts itself out.
Soccer? You got basketball instead. Pumpkin carving... got that already. Etc.
I also noticed that for all the hoopla about the "fake ball pit"... the leaf heap in Sims 3 seasons was just as fake. It's just as flat (but shaped as a hill, if you know what i mean).
pool parties will be a thing in sims for seasons they already said so
Well then. Good :) - elliebreton8 years agoLegendI have to confess that Mayzie Grobe helped me to fall in love with Sims 3 Seasons :p
I watched that trailer so many times just to listen to the song... "elanorbreton;c-16519491" wrote:

I love that song. It's probably one of my favourite things about TS3.- Omri1478 years agoSeasoned Ace

I like that they put it in the Retro station in this game. :) "Cheekybits;c-16491719" wrote:
Sims 3 seasons was so laggy and when you went to the festivals they were empty no one was there. Holidays never worked properly unless you had a huge home, gift giving was like “time to move the sofa outside for a few hours to make space” Everything got lost in the snow. I do like the fact they take off there jackets when they went in the house.
Sims 2 seasons was good, gave some visual verity but wasn’t very impactful in sims lives.
So far sims 4 seasons looks the best but they showed us seasons only. If other packs like cats and dogs react to weather and we can tie in other features great.
hahaha I forgot about the horrible gift giving with the sims 3!!! I always had trouble with that because there was no space, the gifts were horrendous, and it was just a big ol' mess.- elliebreton8 years agoLegend

Don't forget the "Chip Tunes" option for DJ:s. Also old Sim songs. - MidnightAura868 years agoSeasoned Ace

I'm sorry that was your experience. Its certainly not mine. But then my Sims 3 game doesn't lag or have issues described.
My favourite trailer was 3. I love TS2 seasons ( I love how sims reacted to the weather and how seasons opened up so many new possibilitieslike being struck by lightning but also how each season impacted on each sim like in spring romance built faster, autumn skill building went faster etc) but the trailer for 3 was just more...polished? And of course had more gameplay objects many of which were brand new. I also loved the music. - dorcsyful998 years agoRising Veteran

That's precisly what the problem with TS4 is. I don't know how many packs you have to buy in order to have "almost all of those features". And that's why I like Sims 3 trailer (and the EP itself) more. It's just so full of new stuff that we haven't seen before. I've had the EP for years and there's still parts of it I haven't fully explored.
Though I might still buy it, but only if it's on sale and at least 50% off. That snow is just getting more and more annoying every time I look at it. "dorcsyful;c-16521280" wrote:

This is exactly how I feel. I'll like to try seasons in sims 4 but I don't feel it's worth the full price.
Btw for all the 'pieces'
$20 OR for horeshoes
$10 SS for pumpkin carving and Halloween party
$40 CL for fireworks.
I think that's all the objects they already have.
You can also be assured they'll be selling summer stuff or pool stuff soon enough.
