yep have no comparation, and i'm not speaking about "cartoon", but about size and complexibility and details, while sims 4 world looks like a "my little poney" or "barbie world" with all fluffy and bright, the amount of backdrops and lack of conntectivity and immersion is a big kill, without counting i really prefer "more realistic worlds" than cartoon ones, then sims 3 being much more detailed and more free and you being able to edit it changing the world a lot, really help with immersion and feel the game more "alive" living in a true city, not some "truman show" or sitcom.

I bought TS4 the day it was released, as I have with all the other releases. I'm a supper fan and Sims addict, however I played TS4 a grand total of 3 times and completely lost interest due to how incredibly disappointed I was with it. Here are my reasons...

1. It took me almost 2 hours to figure out the hot key controls and the most frustrating part of that was trying to figure out how to tilt up and down so I could at least look at the sky.
2. I feel like I'm in a goldfish bowl. Even when my view is zoomed out, there is far less to see then there was in TS3. It feels claustrophobic.
3. I got so frustrated trying to figure out how to find and visit the grocery store or other community lots that I just gave up.
4. No patterns or color customizations?? Seriously??
5. Only a few open lots to choose to live on? again SERIOUSLY??

I thought this game was going to be an advancement in the series however it's by far the most boring, frustrating and cartoonishly fake version that I ever had the misfortune to play. I know you might not agree with me and you may love TS4 and thats awesome. I'm just bummed that I can't feel the same love and enthusiasm for it, so I will be back in lonely TS3 where there will never be new content and Maxis has clearly left far behind. (Drama for emphasis)

To the OP: Yes. I agree. The neighborhoods in TS4 are ridiculous. I think my sims must all starring in a new version of the Truman Show. ;)

I agree. Sims 3 worlds are worlds, Sims 4 'worlds' are more like real estate floor plan.

I just tried it and it works for me. So I'm not sure what to tell you. It's a VERY long post so I can't quote it here, besides it would be very off topic. You could try searching the forum using this: "How to fool your game into giving you full clubs" (without the quotes).

Okay if you think the Sims 3 worlds are better that is a good thing for you. I happen to like TS4 better. I enjoy the smaller more populated hoods in TS4. I like the teleporting better than cars because it's actually quicker to teleport and have a loading screen instead of driving or taking a boat to the other side of the world.

Go ahead and keep broadcasting good things about TS3. I enjoyed TS3 before TS4 but I enjoy TS4 more. This subject has been discussed several times already. It's a repeat from last week.

Some people like one version better than others. It's already been debated over and over. There were both good and bad points in all the Sims games. I made up my mind though. I am sticking with TS4.

You know what I realized earlier, when someone else was discussing Open World.

Looking back, the Open World in 3 was just a lot of barren wide open land, not much ever went on and there wasn't really much to look at the further out you ventured. It was just a lot of emptiness.

But then you look at Sims 4 and the Open World, as small as it is- mainly because it's all sectioned into neighborhoods, is FULL of collectibles and beautiful landscape as well as a few public spots to hang out that don't require a loading screen all over the place.

So, in my opinion, the Open World in 4 is a lot more appealing than 3. Granted you have to sit through a minute or two of loading screen to visit your neighbor but honestly that's a small price to pay for incredibly smooth gameplay and graphics. Just something to ponder.
