Sims 4 - Dine Out , eating out takes so long!

Usually when my sims go out ot eat I go ahead and make sure they get in through the door before other sis start piling in. My sims time at a restaurant is probably 3 to 4 sim hours or so. I think when the chef gets bloated with orders sometimes your sis order will just be canceled. Doesn't happen anymore for me thankfully. God help you if you get simulation lag while at a restaurant then the chef will take FOREVER. I customer actually died of starvation because of it. Hilarious, but yeah.

That and the layout of the restaurant shouldn't be too big the pre-built ones are fine, but very big ones seem to have a problem if waiters/waitresses have to walk up and down stairs.

I think it all depends on how you set the place up. Having 2 cook stations instead of one helps.

The ease of access from the kitchen to the patrons matters. Don't make the restaurant too big or too far from the kitchen. Make the kitchen central. Have enough of the waitress stations about for them to dispose of dirty dishes fast...

I usually order a drink and main course at the same time. Once I notice their food is almost done and their drink is empty, they order another glass of wine as an appertif.

Whenever I order a drink and main course at the same time, they just bring out the main course and never bring the drink.

I always get my drink and main course. Are you sure you are clicking for each round?

Hm, maybe I’m doing something wrong when selecting them? I’ll try it tonight and see what’s going on.
