Sims 4 & Nostalgia

Anyone use Sims 4 as an outlet for nostalgia. Like rebuilding their childhood homes and favorite pets growing up? Please share stories and /or screenshots. I'm know there will be a lot of lemon stand gameplay with childhood memories coming up with the new pack.

Incomplete but I started a while ago building the house I grew up in, in the Spicy District. And this is my favorite childhood dog, Grant. I have to get a better photo of him.

  • I haven't tried building my childhood home in the game yet, but have put my family as it was when I was a child in the game, it is special to me as both my mother and father have passed away. I also include pets that have passed to occasionally.

@Sara1010P Yes at first I was scared or opposed to adding real life people in my game, but it too allows me to revisit memories I had with some who passed away. I also added holidays like parents day and grandparents day to the calendar and I take my in game parents out and give them gift. It helps some kind of therapy if you can't in real life.

I practiced building by using childhood homes and my grand uncle and aunt's house, which has now been torn down by those evil city planners in Los Anegeles, CA. Gr. The house should have been made Historical. (This is, of course, modified.)

And, of course, this one was built purely for nostalgia: The Jessica Fletcher House.

Oh my Goodness- It's such a beautiful home and build. Sorry about that. Such a shame more is not done to preserve historical architecture; Construction quality and their building materials used in the past are usually far superior to the cheap mass produced constructions now. Such a shame more is not done to preserve.

It's so surreal visiting the real house virtually. If it's on the gallery, I will like to take a tour.

@Oldeseadogge Oh wow you lived in Oxford? I love love the buildings there. I wanted to one of the university house to a townhouse that looks like Oxford, and the other to a townhouse in Cambridge- never been but collected photos. I have so many projects in my head, but who knows I will ever get to them all.

I found on sim scale, while I can from walk through recreate layouts, but it were literally to exact scale, only 64 by 64 lot , think slither of it would do justice for average town house, so I make all my projects on sim scale.
