Sims 4 Adventure Awaits Negative Discussion thread.

So I played it and what I don't like is that they always have random Sims like in HSY generate instead of your other Household Sims so when we pick the kids to go to the camp it's random townie kids then some of your households why can't we pick the entire list of kids including your other Household kids then these NPC townies you don't play. 

Butterfly containers as pretty much as ugly as insect containers, they do have unique thumbnails but they are not as clear as Sims 3 insects, as the thumbnail includes the container but the butterfly effect (obtained from catching butterflies are clear concept art looking).

IMHO, they should have used a non container thumbnail of the butterfly for the inventory version. The concept art version visual effect is fine for that.

Just started playing and the getaway feature is off to a clunky start

• You can't assign NPC sims though the build when you come from Manage World
• You have a selection of sims in Assign Role, and no way to refresh them. No matter who I had try to book the getaway, Nigel's wife wouldn't show as an option. So I had to have my sim go to Gibbi Point and meet her before I booked the visit, just show she could show up on the list, and she STILL didn't show up
• Turns out the camp counselor preset is for teens and young adults, while Sara is an adult. They forgot to include adults as an option. So despite canonically being the camp counselor, she won't be one in-game unless you fix things yourself.
• The actual getaway presets are pretty bare, so you have to edit them a lot.
• The length of scheduled times are ALWAYS set, and can't be changed. I can't have two hours of swim time, followed by three hours of arts and crafts. I tried to schedule an arts and crafts period but couldn't fit it in without removing or changing another activity.
• Instead of automatically sitting down in a spot to eat (or at least giving me the option to order sims to seat), they just wandered around during breakfast time. When Nigel made food, they just piled into the kitchen and ate while standing up.
• When they put your sims into their uniforms, accessories like glasses don't seem to make it through. And for some reason, a couple of my sims had hearing aides on their swimwear.

I coulda sworn backs used to be released one or two hours earlier. I distinctly remember RoM being released earlier, because I got out of an appointment half an hour early to play it the second it dropped.

They also mentioned all the LGBT+ characters that came with the pack and his name never came up. I also think this is something easily changed. Personally, I will be changing it my game. I prefer most my Sims to be bisexual. Makes it easier for me.

is absolutely annoying. I'm extremely upset.

Just watched the video. I'm still not fully convinced he was meant to be gay and that's the reason he left Brandi. He can still be wooed by women in-game. At most, I think he's bi, as sims are by default. I feel that if the intention was to make him gay, then they would have set his sexuality to Not Exploring, like they've been doing with nearly all canonically-LGBT sims (and other sims) for the past couple of packs. And if the intention was to make him gay, then it was dumb to make him be able to be wooed by women, and put him in a romantic competition where that almost certainly WILL happen. 

I get the feeling he left because he's a snobby scumbag who's unaware of how bad he is. Like he's meant to be an unflattering parody of many contestants on these types of shows. But maybe more of his townie lore drops will confirm his sexuality as gay

I don't thiiiink he's meant to be gay here, since I saw female sims woo him in Game Changer videos without issue. Where does it say he was gay? If it's from his romantic preferences, imo those aren't that helpful unless it backs up established sim lore. The sims team rarely fiddles with it, unless they want to hard-establish a sim's sexuality as canon. (Like Molly Prescott, Corey Nyhus, or the Summerdreams.)
