Sims 4 going medieval - what I've done and your suggestions pls!
I've really working on how to transform the Sims 4 into a fantasy/medieval game. Obviously I'll be using a LOT of CC but thats fine, I'm building a little library including floor boards to 50 different medieval dresses for all occasions to a washtub for laundry.
Outside of that I was wondering if the community might have suggestions for anything else that would help turn the Sims 4 into a more medieval offering or things I need to change.
I first started by writing up a list of races that will be present, so far I have 3 types of elves (high, night and forest), 2 types of demons, 3 types of humans (basic/common) (angelic) and (fallen), orcs and trolls. Plus side monsters (unique sims? like frost giant?) These are all based off CC I have (like different ears or horns) and skin color extras. Wing CC, outfits, ect plus world dynamics I picture.
Here was my actually list I penned out on paper to make a Sims 4 medieval as best I can
1 download and sort my CC as fantasy only - remove any non fantasy stuff for easier access into another folder.
2 search internet for mods that might help fantasy gameplay, ie cellphone animations turned off, replace computer with a quill or even type writer. basically look for medieval appliance replacements.
3 write out essential community lots list (tavern, castle, shrine, forest/pool, town hall, vampire crypt? ect)
4 basic backstory for world/conflicts? maybe elves are villians and everybody else is just trying to survive their rule?
5 design the powerful families for the world (max 3ish per race)
6 clone background sims for peasants, ect. basically non-played sims. need about 10 for each race.
7 sort mods properly and test, see what works for looks and what doesnt. ugly clipping issues ect for dresses
8 search for mods or way to give specific races more personality or make new traits
9 download medieval poses
10 create a safe list of places sims can visit and not immersion break medieval background
11 check camping world, see if I can mod/remove houses and make it also medieval worldish
Anything else u guys can think of or mods u might suggest?
