if you just learn how to use sliders and get some nice cc look how beautiful you can make your ts3 sims look
can't do this with ts4

I don't like that sim at all to be honest. What happened to her nose...? And my mouth looks like that when I've been ice skating for six hours.
Sims in 3 can look totally allright without cc, not pudding face to say the least. The rest is preference.
What I don't get is how people keep calling sims in 3 pudding face, when it's the sims in 4 that all look similar and have very dull skins.

its supposed to be nose blush and lip gloss...giving her a fresh-faced look. it's just her style and i love her style and so do tons of other people but w/e

Fair enough, I feel like the only simmer who prefers them vanilla so I know opinions differ ;)
(I though she was a child by the way so I didn't get the blush and lip gloss in the first place)

I am totally vanilla in TS3 and this is what upsets me about TS4 that I am going to have to rely on mods and CC to make the game playable to my expectation. Limited is the kindest way to describe CAS in TS4 and all that hard work on the faces is lost the minute you go in game. And having detail and shading/texture would gives depth and interest to the worlds these poor sims inhabit.

People complain they cannot bond with the sims in TS4. Well I know some do not want realism in their game. However sims that were a little more lifelike and worlds which were more than just a theatre backdrop would go a long way to aiding the bonding process.

Very pretty. I too use some CC mostly Hair and contacts. I use EA skins not custom skin. for all of us who posted pics with no CC proves the point that you don't need CC to make a good sim . Here is same sim I posted with adding only 2 pieces of CC. Hair and contacts.

I can go vanilla in the sims 3 but I admit I do like a little cc. Im not a cc hoard. As for the sims 4. My bonding process has to do a lot with your issues having to use mods to make the game work. The sims 4 has more bugs in its base game than ts3 ever had. The camera controls in TS4 are driving me mad. I don't like cas an all the sims looking the same. I could go on but I don't want to go too off topic.

It doesn't really make sense to put up sims and rooms that have CC in them to prove that TS3 graphics aren't ugly because CC isn't a part of the game, it's user/fan-made.

In fact most of the people posting their TS3 sims here to try to make the point that TS3 sims are beautiful and/or different are using CC so it kind of makes their point null and void.

That said, I think the background/scenery in TS3 was beautiful!

Not from what I saw. There were some without CC, but most had at LEAST one CC. Even on this page you can see it.
