@Cinebar - It's just a preference that should be honored. I get where you're coming from. I have both gay and straight couples. I chose their sexual orientation as part of the stories I'm telling. Sims 4 should be smart enough to know the difference. I want my gay Sims to stay gay and my straight Sims to stay straight. This is not a revolutionary concept. Since the dawn of the Sims, the magical glitch that allowed gay couples, it's been a lifestye that has been honored and unchanged. Now, with this lazy programming it's a flirty free for all.
Truthfully, I don't believe it was intentional. The emotions matrix or algorithm didn't take into consideration sexual preference and that's just plain lazy. This is yet another example of how neglectful this team has been about the game as a whole. This is a someone's major F up and needs to be addressed. Stat!
As for gettng used to disappointment, when I told my sister about this (she's gay), she asked, "Are you surprised?" - No, I guess I'm not. Sims 4 has become that friend that constantly lets you down and eventually you start thinking... are we really not friends anymore? Maybe it's time to move on? It breaks my heart that so little attention has been put into this game. From toddlers to sexual preference. I have given it so many chances. How many more does it get?
