Truthfully, I don't believe it was intentional. The emotions matrix or algorithm didn't take into consideration sexual preference and that's just plain lazy. This is yet another example of how neglectful this team has been about the game as a whole. This is a someone's major F up and needs to be addressed. Stat!
As for gettng used to disappointment, when I told my sister about this (she's gay), she asked, "Are you surprised?" - No, I guess I'm not. Sims 4 has become that friend that constantly lets you down and eventually you start thinking... are we really not friends anymore? Maybe it's time to move on? It breaks my heart that so little attention has been put into this game. From toddlers to sexual preference. I have given it so many chances. How many more does it get?
I agree. I am still trying to figure out how the game thinks Donna Noble is married but did that Sim die? and or why is the icon empty? It plainly has an arrow and married to a blank icon. I just don't get it.
ETA: I wouldn't have minded if it had been Holmes that was flirted with and maybe flirted back, because in the stories and movies you just don't know if Holmes is gay or straight. He's sort of an open-ended question. Always has been. He may refer to 'that woman' who beat him but that may be all it is, someone who out smarted him which he may just admire for that. So, I was aggravated it messed with Watson wouldn't have minded so much if it had been Holmes. lol Because he is too busy with crimes and the thrill of a crime to be bothered with any relationship.
