Well, if you feel that you must go that route, at least be honest and present it as faulty programming on EA/Maxis's part, especially since this issue affects both gays and straights in the game. It's really not a question of intolerance, even if you see it that way.
I agree and I also agree it's illustrative for the way they have created this game, with no eye for details like that. I think they may underestimate the importance of certain details when people are playing with life in this game. I remember once not saving my game, sacrifizing progress, because I found my former heir flirting with another guy than his spouse (he was gay by the way and he was flirting with a man, so that much the game did right back then). It was so very much not him, not what he would do in a million years (can't blame the game there because he had been unfaithful at one point to produce a heir) that I couldn't make myself saving that development. I restarted the game, went to the party where it happened and made sure it didn't happen again (by constantly distracting him :angry: ).
